天，我讀CNN.com居然也有十年光景了! 不必自吹自擂什麼從小關心世界大事，實際上是當年瘋迷火星探險，幻想跟著NASA Pathfinder探險小車在火星冒險，CNN網站就是小時候我最好的資訊source。那時的網站，大家都一樣用html一行一行寫出來，自學做網站如我，除愛看CNN.com(時稱CNNinterative)上的新聞，也以為用486電腦的Frontpage就可以有朝一日弄一個比CNN還厲害的網站。

Apple iPhone 6/29就要在美國上市，功能大概就是你之前所知的那些，台灣還要等上一等到來年。不過在網站上已經可以看到iPhone電視廣告，其中在[Waterdown]這邊講iPhone上網毫不縮水的TV AD，可以看到那隻手指點來點去，在紐約時報網站特別強調了"台灣之光，王建民(還有國旗!)"的頭版照片，還真有趣。

同時發表的Safari for Windows也很酷，宣稱比IE快近兩倍，而且介面與Mac版相同，不過比較抱歉的是中文顯示有很大的問題，像上seenew，字體全崩解重組，搞得像故意的藝術作品，Apple在中文化再加加油啦。

同事Jill從歐洲回來分享了Air France出的雜誌，隨手翻翻就知道這本在機上與機場隨意取閱的航空雜誌比台灣大多數市售雜誌都好看的多，相形之下歐亞洲航空公司的inflight雜誌就乏善可陳，像是我坐的Thai Airways，雖然服務整體不錯，但它的雜誌大概比台北畫刊還差一些，一篇"來曼谷的理由"，明明城市那麼精彩有料，報導卻做的極幼稚。

德國藝術家Martin Klimas的Temporary Sculpture，抓住東方藝術品的爆裂瞬間，從完整到解構的中途，照片呈現出雕塑品的動態感，並有著連攝影師也無法預料的美感，再加物件在此瞬間之後不復存在的傷感。

Klimas的美國首展在紐約Foley Gallery展出到6.16。

Rem Koolhaas一直是我建築求學生涯中最心儀的建築師。或者正確來說，是約莫2000年開始，從他真正接到能夠發揮構想的建築在國際建築界獲得認可，而在那之前，他是一個建築烏托邦作者。

70年代他從記者身份跳進建築領域，為曼哈頓逝去的都會靈魂作傳《Delirious New York》。90年代與Bruce Mau將建築作品集《S,M,L,XL》做成經典厚書(比磚塊還厚!)2000年代起，實際設計作品從紐約蘇活Prada到西雅圖圖書館到葡萄牙Porto Casa da Musica。

沒有蓋的環球影業HQ到2008要落成的北京CCTV大樓。到阿拉伯聯合大公國的Death Star。烏托邦精神一直存在(他2005年出的《Content》，翻過來第一頁是全彩Prada地攤廣告)，烏托邦真要落成?

Eames?這個名字對於很多人來說，還是個問號，但眼看著Charles Eames百週年紀念展本週五(6/8)就要在誠品信義店展開。台灣設計師週(Taiwan Designers' Week)也要在月底登場，但是也恐怕還沒多少人知曉這個訊息。

沒關係，我們沒有慢，如果你有讀到相原一雅《設計X咖啡》(布克文化)一書就會知道，即便是日本這看起來對設計狂熱到市井小民都每天進出擺滿設計品的Cafe、餐廳的國度，不到十年前也是個沙漠......。

好些天前exile就在MSN上跟我說，我們一直關注的好看雜誌之一BRUTUS做了一個北京專題。嗯！雖然還沒有看到內容，但是介紹文案裡提到的幾個地名，我是再熟悉不過了。加上李小明同學那本向來不太介紹大陸旅行的雜誌也在週末要登陸北京採訪，突然間這股紅紅的北京案內熱潮，在2008奧運開始前，慢慢一點一滴的燃燒起來。
